Invitation to participate in Parliamentary Internship Programme for the Senate of Pakistan
Requirements:
a) Possess last degree of 16-years of education or above from the institution in the required discipline.
b) May not have passed-out from academic institution for more than two (2) years ago
c) Possess excellent academic record, penchant for research, ability to achieve deadlines and work well with colleagues and be enterprising in nature
d) Possess satisfactory moral character and has respect for office discipline and decorum
e) Application forms must be reached to the Academic Office
NU- FAST Lahore Campus by September 16,2004. Remember that application received after Semptember18, 2004 will not be considered.
f) Application forms can also be photocopied and used. In addition, these can also be downloaded from PILDAT website:
www.pildat.org/pipg) Please note that if a form is not duly evaluated, filled signed and stamped by the Department/Academic Institution’s head, it will not be accepted.
h) Final grading will be done by an interview panel which would decide the selection of a candidate and his/her suitability to a certain committee
i) If an applicant or a person on his/her behalf approaches PILDAT or the Interview Panel directly or indirectly to influence selection process, the applicant will stand disqualified
j) Based on the performance of selected interns during their attachment with the Committees of the Senate of Pakistan, these interns may be given preferences for jobs at the Senate Secretariat.
k) Internship period is 3 months. A stipend of RS. 7000 a month will be paid to these interns. This stipend includes allowance or accommodation in Islamabad and any other incidental expenses. No other allowances or facility is offered.
l) Those applicants who, for reasons of their personal growth and broader horizon, would like to continue working any stipend as interns with the standing committees of Senate for more than the duration of three –months should highlight this in the application forms. The Senate Secretariat would welcome them to do so.
